This is a mosaic of the Hermit card from the RWS Tarot deck. The Hermit’s staff is made from a chop stick, his cloak is out of strong unreflecting stoneware (because the Hermit does not wear a fancy cloak, he chooses something good and sturdy), the mountaintop he is standing on is made out of stones from actual mountains I have climbed , and the whole sky radiates out from the star in his lantern - which is out of Venetian Smalti made with real gold leaf. This is the only part of the mosaic which glitters, and it really does look as if he has live star in his lantern.
13 by 26 cm, MDF base, some painted grout lines, face and hand details added with enamel paint.
